QuickPic: Tech Data Canada builds bikes for kids

Tech Data Canada president Rick Reid will often hold up the distributor’s integration capabilities as one of its hidden gem. But it was a different kind of integration and assembly recently for the distributor, as the company’s management team took some time out of a planning meeting to assemble bikes for kids in need.

In all the management team at the distributor “competed to answer skill-testing questions and raced to compete the assembly of brand new bicycles,” the company said. In total, eight of the freshly Tech Data Canada-assembled bikes were handed over to the Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club and the Bobys and Girls Club of Peel.

“Tech Data is proud to support both of these charitable organizations”, Reid said in a prepared statement “This event brought our entire management team together to discuss strategies and key initiatives for the upcoming year. Each member embraced the opportunity to give back to the community while learning to collaborate and work more efficiently as a team. As a result, I am confident that we are a stronger team capable of providing top quality service to our reseller partners, while also helping to care for the community around us.”
